This is Discovery Bay
There are three distinct communities here in Discovery Bay
- The Boating Community, most people live in homes with private boat docks with access to the San Juaquin River and Delta.
- The Golf Community, most people live on the golf course, with views of manicured fairways and greens, and
- The Lakes Community. Homes here have a water view, however no power boating or river access. There are many homes that are not in any of these communities but are large and beautiful with large yards, and many with pools and spas.

Discovery Bay Yacht Club Events
- Big Cat Poker Run
- https://www.bigcatpokerrun.org , where the fast boats get to show what they've got. This rumbling and roaring weekend includes a Friday evening Welcome Party at the Discovery Bay Marina, Saturday Breakfast, seated Lunch on the Poker Run, and plenty of time to socialize before returning to the Marina for the Poker Draw, Dinner and After Party.

- The huge parking lot at the Marina Bar & Grill is filled with some of the coolest cars ever built. The '60 corvette is my favorite, but you might be more into muscle cars, or hot rods, or a rolling living room like the '62 Cadilac, so roomy.
- The Show of Lights
- is also a big favorite. This is where enthusiastic boat owners adorn their vassals with bright lights and decorations...so beautiful

Discovery Bay Golf and Country Club

- The golf course, a par 72, (6574-yard from Championship
- tees) is a gem! Situated on 225 acres of beautifully maintained fairways and greens, provides year-round enjoyment for golfers of all levels. For dining and year-round social events, the Club offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day except Mondays when the course is closed for maintenance.
